CHICAGO – A well-placed cameo can delight television audiences. Like Prince’s famous turn on New Girl, Carl Weathers on Arrested Development, or LeVar Burton on Community, fans love to see a celebrity playing themselves tucked effortlessly into the fold of their favorite comfort watch. Unfortunately, last week’s Tom Skilling cameo on the final season of FX’s The Bear was neither effortless nor comforting.
“He seems like such an affable, nice guy on TV,” Production Assistant Betsy Cordnish, 24, remarked to our reporters. “But it was like he snapped the moment the cameras weren’t on him. I’ve never seen a man yell so much he’s thrown up before, and I’ve worked on The Bear since the first season.”

Despite being well-known across Chicago as an absolute sweetheart who just wants to give you an accurate weather report, once Skilling was on set his demeanor changed. “He demanded all the chairs be taken out of his dressing room, kept randomly punching crew members, and even threatened to ‘bring down the wrath of Zeus’ on a wardrobe assistant for leaving a wrinkle in his shirt,” Cordnish spilled to us.
But it wasn’t only behind the scenes crew that Skilling left an impact on. Star of The Bear Jeremy Allen White was found crouching in his dressing room. “Is he gone? Oh, thank god. Wait, did you just print my full name? Oh god, he’s gonna come find me, he can control the weather to take out his enemies!” We tried to calm White by assuring him that everyone with a Hulu subscription already knows his full name, but he stripped off his apron and went running for the horizon.
